Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 18, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Emberfield Labs s.r.o. ("we", "us", or "our"), a company registered in the Czech Republic, handles information in connection with Golf Echo (the "App"). Golf Echo is an iOS and Android mobile app built with Expo that lets golfers wirelessly replay their swings at the range, run a solo capture-and-replay flow on a single device, review clips in slow motion, and save clips to the device photo library.

Information We Collect

We collect information that is necessary to provide the App. This includes account information when you sign in with Google or Apple (such as your name and email address as released by the provider), subscription and entitlement information managed through RevenueCat and the platform store, room codes and session metadata used to pair your devices, support messages you send us, and limited diagnostic and performance data such as device type, operating system version, app version, crash reports, and basic usage events.

Video recorded by Golf Echo for swing replay is captured on your device. Live streams between paired devices flow peer-to-peer over WebRTC and are not stored or relayed by us. A WebSocket signaling service is used only to help two devices find each other and negotiate the peer-to-peer connection. Swing clips you choose to save are written to your own device photo library under your control.

How We Use Information

We use information to operate the App, authenticate you, pair your devices into rooms, support delayed playback and slow-motion review, deliver Picture-in-Picture and split-screen comparison, process and verify subscriptions and the 7-day free trial, respond to support requests, monitor reliability and performance, prevent abuse, and improve the product. We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for advertising profiling.

Camera, Microphone, and Photo Library

Golf Echo needs access to your device camera and microphone to capture video for replay, and access to the photo library to save swing clips you choose to keep. You are asked for permission by the operating system the first time these features are used. You can change these permissions at any time in your device settings. Recorded video stays on your device unless you explicitly save or share it.

Subscriptions and Payments

Golf Echo offers a 7-day free trial. Continued access is provided through a paid subscription whose entitlements are managed by RevenueCat. Payments, billing, free trial conversion, renewals, and refunds are handled by Apple App Store or Google Play depending on your device. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.

Sharing of Information

We share information only when necessary to operate the App, including with: hosting and infrastructure providers; the WebSocket signaling service used for peer-to-peer connection setup; authentication providers (Google and Apple) used for sign-in; RevenueCat and the platform stores (Apple, Google) for subscription management; diagnostics and crash reporting services; and email or support tools we use to respond to your requests. These providers process information on our behalf under their own contractual or legal obligations. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, our company, or the public.

Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the App, maintain subscriptions, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and enforce agreements. Account information remains associated with you until you delete your account or ask us to delete data we control. Swing clips that you save live in your device photo library and are governed by your own device and account.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, misuse, loss, or alteration. Peer-to-peer streams use WebRTC, which is encrypted in transit. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Third-Party Services

The App relies on third-party services for app distribution, sign-in, subscription processing, peer-to-peer connection signaling, diagnostics, and support communication. Those services may collect or process data under their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, including the EU, EEA, and UK, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or export of personal information we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise applicable rights, contact us using the details below.

Children's Privacy

Golf Echo is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will investigate.

Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated version on this page and revise the "Last updated" date.
